ALBAWABA - According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, an Israeli massacre claimed the lives of at least 60 people in the Bekaa Valley, as Israel continues its indiscriminate strikes against Southern Lebanon.
The ministry's report revealed that the strikes targeted 12 towns across the valley, with two children among those recorded killed. Preliminary reports by the Ministry of Health said that 58 people have been injured, with the toll likely to rise as rescue efforts continue.
According to reports, at least 16 people of those recorded among the deaths were killed in a strike on Al-Alaq, west of Baalbek, raising the total number of deaths to more than 1,700 killed in Lebanon since Israel's aggression in Lebanon intensified since late September, before subsequently invading southern Lebanon in early October.
Baalbek governor Bachir Khodr said that the strikes are the "most violent" since the intensification between Hezbollah and Israel started taking its toll on Lebanese lands.
Prior to the ground invasion earlier in October, Hezbollah and Israel have engaged in daily back and forth strikes ever since Israel launched its most brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip in occupied Palestine.
The war has displaced at least 1.3 million people, more than 800,000 inside Lebanon according to the UN's migration agency. More than half a million people have crossed into Syria, according to Lebanese authorities, most of them Syrians.
