ALBAWABA - Targeting border towns and villages with heavy military operations, Israeli soldiers on Saturday started a major invasion into several regions of southern Lebanon. Road restrictions, excavation, and the erection of earthen barricades were among the activities that increased tensions in the already unstable area.

An Israeli force consisting of two Merkava tanks, a bulldozer, and a "Hummer" vehicle reportedly approached from the Houla suburbs. When the military arrived to the Wadi Al-Sloukhi triangle (Majdal Selem, Shaqra, and Meiss El Jabal), they restricted access to neighboring communities, built barricades, and carried out road-clearing operations.

Additionally, Israeli soldiers operated in other locations, including as the Wadi Al-Sloukhi road between Qabriha and Bani Hayyan, where bulldozers and tanks were used for excavation operations. Similar intrusions occurred in over five areas, including the Kfar Shouba Heights and Markaba-Talloussa.

Israeli soldiers were blamed for a large explosion that happened in the eastern section of Kfar Shouba. Israeli forces, bolstered by tanks and bulldozers, moved into Wadi Sabia after the Lebanese army had arrived, firing bullets and sweeping the area.

Key roadways from the villages of Burj Al-Muluk and Deirmimas to Kfar Kila were closed by Israeli forces. The military presence in the Shaqra, Meiss El Jabal, and Houla triangle was heightened as tanks advanced into these locations.

Residents of border communities who had been displaced said they received calls on Sunday from foreign numbers cautioning them not to go back to their homes. In light of the ongoing escalation, villagers' anxieties have been heightened by these threats, which are thought to have been sent by the Israeli military.

The Israeli military's activities have caused access issues and sparked worries of further fighting in southern Lebanon, so the situation is still tense.
