ALBAWABA - After forcefully evacuating Kamal Adwan Hospital, the Israeli army set it on fire, according to the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza. Hamas added the incident to the extensive list of crimes carried out by Israeli soldiers and denounced it as a war crime.
After a massacre nearby that claimed 50 lives, including five medical personnel, the hospital was set on fire.
Hamas released a statement stating, "The storming of Kamal Adwan Hospital and the horrific massacres in its surroundings are Zionist war crimes carried out amid international complacency and full complicity from the U.S. administration, which is a partner in the genocide in Gaza."
The statement went on to stress that "an additional war crime in the series of atrocities committed against our people is forcing medical staff, patients, wounded people, and displaced people to leave the hospital under threat of arms, after intensified bombing of its surroundings." This happens as a result of international and global failure to uphold their duty to safeguard people and civilian infrastructure.
Hamas blamed the "criminal Zionist occupation, along with the complicit U.S. administration supporting the brutal genocide in Gaza, fully responsible for the lives of patients, the wounded, and the medical teams at the hospital." There have been allegations of mistreatment, arrests, and detention in unidentified places, along with reports of total isolation of people inside.
The group demanded that the UN, the international community, and all other powerful organizations "take immediate action to end the paralysis and silence in the face of this genocide." To halt Zionist aggression and make this rogue organization and its terrorist leaders responsible for their crimes against humanity, they must act.
