The Israeli army cut off the West Bank University of Bir Zeit and the surrounding villages from the city of Ramallah when it dug a trench in the main road connecting the two areas on Wednesday, reported Haaretz newspaper.
As a result, telephone and water lines to the university were cut off, said the paper.
