A Palestinian launched an attempted suicide bombing against Israeli soldiers in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, seriously injuring himself but causing no other casualties, Israeli military sources said.
An army spokesman told Israel Radio that “a cart filled with explosives was detonated Sunday morning close to an IDF armored personnel carrier near Dahaniye in the southern Gaza Strip.”
The driver of the cart, who jumped off as he detonated the explosives, was seriously injured,” he added.
No soldiers were injured in the attack, he said.
This is the first suicide attack since Palestinians and Israeli signed a US brokered ceasefire on Wednesday.
