The Israeli Army on Sunday morning opened the Erez crossing to Palestinian workers and goods for the first time since last Wednesday's suicide bombing that left four Israelis dead. Some 15,000 Gaza Strip residents will be allowed into Israel.
Meanwhile, Izz al Din al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas, has warned that any Israeli assassination attempt of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the Movement's founder and spiritual leader, or any of its other political leader would entail grave repercussions.
The Qassam statement said that the "Zionist enemy would pay dearly for any such attempt." It stressed that the "Zionist authorities were at loss following the Beit Hanon (Erez) attack that killed four Zionist soldiers and wounded ten others and started threatening Hamas leaders."
The Qassam statement said that the "Zionists would sink in a pool of their own blood" if they attempted to liquidate Sheikh Yassin or any other Movement leader. (Albawaba.com)
