Israel makes arrests in West Bank, bombs Gaza Strip

At least 10 Palestinians were arrested Saturday by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank cities of Ramallah, Tulkarem and Bethlehem, WAFA reported.

In Bil'in village, west of Ramallah, Israeli forces launched a search campaign into local homes, arresting four Palestinians, witnesses said.

 

Meanwhile, Israeli forces arrested three men after being held at al-Kafreyat military checkpoint south of Tulkarem and led them into an undisclosed place, WAFA added.

 

Elsewhere, Israeli forces moved into the village of al-Rashayda south of Bethlehem and launched an all-out search campaign, arresting three Palestinians, witnesses said.

 

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli tanks at dawn Saturday fired five shells at nrthern town of Beit Hanun as its warplanes launched four air strikes on different locations in the same area, local sources reported to PIC. They added that the shells slammed into open areas in the town's environs but no casualties were reported.

 

Israeli aircrafts launched four air strikes on what is believed to be rocket launching sites in both Mafraq Hamouda and Al-Nada areas close to Beit Hanun, the report added. Over the past two days, the Israeli artillery fired at least 15 shells at the northern parts of Beit Hanun.

 

Also on Saturday, Israeli F16 jets launched two strikes at Abu Nada to the north of Beit Lahaia, hitting the area's transformer.
