ALBAWABA - Israeli officials have accused seven Israelis, including two children, with spying for Iran in the previous two years. The Times of Israel said that the men completed roughly 600 Iranian-requested operations, targeting Israeli military and vital installations.

These responsibilities reportedly include acquiring sensitive information on military sites, missile defense systems, and other vital areas, compromising national security.

The accused allegedly gave vital information about airbases and the “Iron Dome” missile defense system near Haifa. The sites included airbases like Nevatim, Ramat David, Tel Nof, and Palmachim, as well as Be'er Tuvia, Kiryat Gat, and the Glilot property in Tel Aviv. Prosecutors have stressed the strategic significance of these places to Israeli military, particularly Nevatim Airbase, where information was obtained to determine air force preparedness.

Iranian authorities apparently gave the suspects precise intelligence collecting instructions. This includes instructions to photograph critical locations and sensitive military areas. The Golani training base's dining hall, previously destroyed by a drone assault, and Rafael Advanced military Systems' buildings, a military sector staple, were targeted.

Israeli authorities also said Iranian agents ordered the suspects to obtain family, schedule, and car information on a University of Haifa gas engineering professor.

The accused received $500 to $1,200 each assignment and $300,000 from the network to operate. This case has rekindled Israeli media attention, emphasizing the need of securing key national infrastructure from foreign spy networks.
