Israeli aircraft on Sunday morning launched four airstrikes on areas in the Gaza Strip. Earlier, an Israeli gunship helicopter fired a missile at a building in Gaza City. Palestinian sources said no casualties were reported in either strikes.
On Saturday, Palestinians fired three home-made rockets at an Israeli town north of the Gaza Strip border. Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the attack. In response, Israeli forces also blasted artillery.
According to Haaretz, Israel's Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz instructed the army to respond "fiercly" to the rocket attacks from Gaza Strip. He also sent a message to Palestinians, telling them to cease their attacks.
