A suspension clamped on the pro-reform daily Sobh-e-Emruz was lifted and the newspaper was able to appear normally Tuesday, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
The agency said an informed source with the judiciary quoted head of Tehran's justice administration Hojatoleslam Abasali Alizadeh as confirming the issuance of revocation order for the daily.
Iran's conservative-dominated courts had ordered its closure along with that of another paper, Akhbar Eqtesad, IRNA had quoted sources as saying late Monday amid a widespread crackdown on the reformist press behind President Mohammad Khatami.
The decision to let the daily stay open was taken by Alizadeh on the grounds that Sobh-e-Emruz director Said Hajarian was in hospital after being gunned down in the streets of Tehran on March 12.
The trial of those accused of the shooting opens on Tuesday.
