Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi will visit Egypt on Sunday, on the first leg of a tour that will also take him to Syria and Lebanon, reported the Cairo-based Al Ahram daily.
The paper said that the Iranian minister would convey a message from President Mohammed Khatami to his counterpart, Hosni Mubarak. Details of the message were not disclosed.
During his one-day visit, Kharrazi will hold talks with his counterpart, Ahmed Maher, and Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa.
The visit comes amid regional efforts to coordinate stands regarding US retaliatory actions against terrorist attacks in which Arabs are allegedly involved.
