Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on Tuesday met Djibouti President Ismael Omar Gelleh and conveyed a message from President Mohammad Khatami on bilateral ties, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
“Gelleh appreciated the special attention given by the Islamic Republic to expansion of cooperation with Djibouti,” an IRNA statement said.
"As an Islamic country in Africa, Djibouti has always appreciated Iran's efforts to promote the role Islamic countries can play in the international arena," the statement quoted Gelleh as saying.
Kharazi arrived in Djibouti on Tuesday for a two-day official visit – Albawaba.com
