Investcom Holding, the international telecommunications company, today announced the appointment of Jean-François Pontal as a non-executive director of the company, effective as of July 13, 2005.
Pontal, 62, joins the Board of Directors of Investcom Holding having spent seven years in international mobile telecommunications. In addition to his position as Chief Executive Officer of Orange from 2000 to 2003, where he oversaw a very strong international expansion of one of Europe’s leading minternational mobile phone networks, Pontal was also a Director of internet service provider Wanadoo. Prior to that, he was an Executive Vice President of France Telecom with responsibility for Mass Market Product and Services.
Prior to joining France Telecom, Pontal spent 17 years at international retailer Carrefour in a variety of positions. He began his career as a specialist consultant in human resource management at the Bossard Institute.
