InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s most global hotel company, announced today it has entered a partnership with Skywards, - the frequent flyer programme of Emirates and SriLankan Airlines – to provide members of its Priority Club® Rewards programme with an even wider range of reward options.

Priority Club Rewards members who are also Skywards members can convert their Priority Club points into Skywards Miles. Points can be converted into Miles in increments of 10,000 points, and members will receive 2,500 Skywards Miles for every 10,000 Priority Club points converted.

Similarly, Skywards members who join Priority Club Rewards and select Emirates as their preferred earning alliance will earn 500 Skywards Miles for every Qualifying Stay at any of InterContinental Hotels Group’s InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Express by Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites properties anywhere in the world.
To celebrate the new partnership, InterContinental Hotels Group is offering Skywards members the opportunity to earn triple the number of Skywards Miles – 1,500 Miles - from now until 31st August 2005 for every Qualifying Stay at any of its properties.

As an additional incentive, Emirates customers that book an InterContinental Hotels Group property through Emirates.com between 1st July and 30th September will receive an additional 500 bonus Skywards Miles.

“Managing, leasing or franchising, through various subsidiaries, more than 3,500 hotels and 535,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories around the world, InterContinental Hotels Group is uniquely positioned as the world’s most global hotel company. It makes strategic sense for our organization to enter a relationship with Skywards, which has more than 1.4 million members worldwide,” said Chris Moloney, Chief Operating Officer, InterContinental Hotels Group, Middle East and Africa.

Priority Club Rewards, the largest hotel loyalty programme in the world, boasts over 25 million members worldwide with over 1.8 million residing in the Middle East.

Commenting on the new relationship, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations Worldwide, said: “We are very pleased to enter into this partnership with InterContinental Hotels Group which we are confident will prove beneficial to all our valued customers.

“Skywards membership is all about rewards for our frequent flyers and with this new agreement, being a member of Skywards and Priority Club Rewards will now be more rewarding than ever before.”

With the special summer offer running until 31st August 2005, now is the time for members to register online  at www.priorityclub.com/2000 or by calling +44 (0) 870 607 2582.
