Indonesia's chief security minister said Thursday Jakarta is acting to protect vital facilities such as those of major U.S. oil and mining firms in the event of war between the United States and Iraq.

"We have to anticipate whatever happens outside Indonesia (to ensure) it should not rattle the domestic situation," Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono told reporters after meeting President Megawati Sukarnoputri. (Albawaba.com)
