Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, (Huawei), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, launched a Unified Communication (UC) solution at its new Service Experience Centre, during a recent International Network Transformation Forum.
At the two-day event, from more than 60 operator delegates and experts from nearly twenty countries shared their insights on Next Generation Networks (NGN) and network developments. They also visited the New Service Experience Centre opened by Shaanxi Telecom, a subsidiary of China Telecom, where they experienced the voice/data NGN services.
“Huawei’s UC solution is part of the company’s Next Generation Network (NGN) portfolio and is an integrated and intelligent service combined with Instant Message, Presence, Unified Message and video communication,” said Wang Jiading, vice president, Huawei Technologies, Middle East and North Africa region. “This will make communication convenient and efficient, especially for office applications. Each terminal user of the UC solution has a unified number and can use numerous functions such as Click to Dial, Intelligent Call Routing, Call Management and Web self-help management to enjoy new service experiences.”
Visitors to the New Service Experience Centre can experience integrated services including IPTV, UC, CRBT, and Digital Home to get an understanding of NGN deployments in real-life scenarios.
Experts from Huawei also introduced their end-to-end IMS and Value Added Service solutions, and gave intensive analysis of NGN services and applications.
“The transformation of legacy telecom networks will bring huge challenges and opportunities to value added services in the coming five years,” said Chen Wei, general professor of the Ministry of Information Industry (MII). “Shaanxi Telecom has set a good example in network transformation.”
