Emphasizing its position as the leading technology provider in the region, HP was recently awarded ‘IT Company of the Year’ at the Arabian Business Awards 2005, held under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defense Minister.
Conveying his delight on winning the award, Joseph Hanania, Managing Director of HP Middle East said: “This is a major accomplishment for us and we consider it an even greater honor as it is acknowledgement from our peers and other business leaders across the region. The award is in recognition of the talent, dedication and professionalism of the HP family and also endorses our commitment to the region as market leaders across an entire spectrum of sectors in the IT industry.
“These are exciting times for us at HP as we have announced impressive financial results with our net revenue having increased by 7 percent in Q405. This award also pays tribute to our pioneering initiatives across the region and acknowledges our regional expansion strategy and growth plans,” he concluded.
HP has always been at the forefront of the IT industry investing in the region with initiatives that include the opening of a technology centre in Knowledge Village in Dubai and moving Egypt operations to Cairo’s Smart Village. HP’s Invent Centre, one of only two in the ISE region, also demonstrates the company’s commitment to the region.
