ALBAWABA- In a recent development, Houthi forces in Yemen have reportedly seized control of another vessel in the strategic Bab Al-Mandab Strait in the Red Sea.
The British Maritime Trade Authority received information from an entity claiming to be the Yemeni Navy, stating that it had diverted the vessel's destination towards the Yemeni coast.
The British Maritime Trade Authority has confirmed that the ship's direction has been diverted towards the port of Hodeidah in Yemen.
A Yemeni navigational source informed Al Jazeera that the detained container ship, initially heading to Israel, is now being compelled to change its course by the forces of Ansar Allah, also known as the Houthi forces.
However, the spokesperson for the Houthi group in Yemen has not provided any comments on the incident so far.
