ALBAWABA - In a recent turn of events, allegations sayes that Houthi army have carried out a strategic assault on a significant Israeli occupation vessel navigating the Arabian Sea, just north of the Bab el Mandeb Strait.

The targeted ship, identified as the "Calandra," owned by the Israeli shipping company (ZIM), was subjected to a drone attack, resulting in a devastating explosion that set fire to both the ship and its cargo containers.

Simultaneously, a U.S. warship faced an onslaught from an unmanned aerial vehicle, marking a coordinated series of attacks. Furthermore, a third vessel found its passage through the Red Sea obstructed, compelling it to alter its course. These developments, widely reported by American and Israeli media outlets, underscore the complexity and volatility in the region's maritime security.

Video footage capturing the intensity of the incident has been broadcasted by Israeli channels and global news agencies, revealing the scale of the fire engulfing the "Calandra" in the Arabian Sea.

Despite a lack of immediate confirmation from Israeli sources on the incident or the ownership details of the targeted ship, the U.S. Associated Press has verified the Houthi attack, citing a drone laden with explosives. The aftermath of the strike resulted in a fire consuming the cargo containers, adding a layer of urgency to the ongoing maritime tensions.

In addition, the official spokesman for the Houthi forces wrote only the word “ZIM” on the official page of the Houthi media on the Telegram platform.

Quoting a U.S. official, reports highlight that the targeted ship, flying the flag of Malta, fell victim to the drone attack in international waters. The explosive-laden drone, detonating upon impact, inflicted damage to the vessel without causing harm to the crew.
