H.H. Sheikh Hamed Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi inaugurates Fujairah National Driving Institute (FNDI)

H.H. Sheikh Hamed Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah today formally inaugurated the main branch of the Fujairah National Driving Institute (FNDI) located in the Al Heel Industrial Area of Fujairah in the presence of Dr Ahmed Belhasa, Chairman, Belhasa International and Amer Ahmed Belhasa, Managing Director, FNDI and Emirates Driving Institute (EDI, Dubai).

Congratulating the FNDI on creating a top class facility, H.H. Sheikh Hamed Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi said, “Part of Fujairah’s economical and industrial development is the opening of important facilities that contribute towards developing a world class infrastructure. The opening of Fujairah National Driving Institute is an important step towards the Emirate’s goal to emerge as a major player in the development of the UAE.

Chairman Dr Ahmed Belhasa said, “It is indeed a great honour to have His Highness inaugurate the new FNDI facilities. FNDI is committed to living up to the faith imposed in us by His Highness and we pledge to do our best to provide a world class training facility to the residents of Fujairah.”

Following the inauguration, H.H. Sheikh hamed Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi inspected the world class training facilities available at FNDI which includes a training yard spread over 78,000 square meter area, separate lecture rooms for ladies and gentlemen, advanced hi-tech driving simulators and a seat-belt convincer device. FNDI also boasts a fleet of 126 training vehicles and 73 well-trained and highly qualified male and female instructors and 37 administrative staff members.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amer Ahmed Belhasa said, “We have all been pioneers in introducing new technology and in providing the best facilities possible. Our sister institute, the Emirates Driving Institute (EDI) in Dubai is the first in the world to receive the coveted ISO certification. The new state if the art facilities at FNDI will maintain the same high standards of professionalism and efficiency which is our trademark.”

FNDI already has an existing branch in Dibba, Fujairah in Al Rifaa area which has been operating for the past three years.
