Hertz UAE has scooped its second major accolade in as many months after being awarded Superbrand status at a glittering award ceremony held in Dubai.
The car rental company received the honour at the event organised by Superbrands Middle East to recognise the UAE’s strongest brands. The Superbrands awards are held in many countries around the world and dubbed globally as the ‘Oscars of Branding’.
Hertz UAE, part of the Al-Futtaim group, was one of just 78 companies to receive the accolade out of the thousands of brands which exist in the UAE. Superbrand status is only awarded to companies which meet strict criteria set by an independent Superbrands Council and is an endorsement of the intrinsic strength of an organisation and its brand value. The Superbrands organisation has achieved international acclaim over the years as an independent authority and arbiter of branding excellence.
Bob Farrow, Hertz UAE general manager, was a keynote speaker at the Superbrands Middle East event, which took place at the Sphinx in Wafi City and was attended by the UAE’s most prominent senior business, marketing and branding executives.
“It is a great honour to receive Superbrand status,” said Farrow. “The Hertz name has become a byword for excellence around the world in the vehicle leasing and rental sector and we are delighted that our efforts to uphold this reputation here in the UAE have been recognised. It is a reflection of the commitment of our staff to making sure that Hertz is the number one choice for both business and leisure travellers in the region.”
In May Hertz UAE scooped the award for the Best Car Rental Company – International Brand for the third year running at the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Travel Awards.
