Work has begun on new hi-tech and environmentally friendly headquarters for Hertz Jordan.

The new 16,000sqm facility will be built on the outskirts of Amman, on the Airport Road. It will consist of two buildings - one for executive offices and the other for operations. The site will act as a one-stop shop for all Hertz services incorporating three garage outlets, two spare parts stores, two petrol pumps, two car washing facilities and one vacuum and dry cleaning station.

The need for water conservation has been worked into the plans for the new headquarters, and the facilities will include an environmentally friendly water recycling station and rainfall well.

Najati Shakshir, General Manager of Hertz Jordan, said: “We were delighted with the plans for the new buildings, particularly the facilities that will enable us to minimise the impact on the environment by conserving water.

“The new site will enhance customer facilities and offer a one-stop shop for all Hertz services. Our clients will also benefit from quick and easy access to the airport.”

Hertz Jordan offers a comprehensive range of car rental and leasing services from ten branches in Jordan. There are now six branches in Amman and others located in Petra, Aqaba and at the Dead Sea. The company is continuing to expand and upgrade its car rental fleet and is also planning to widen its network of branches across the Kingdom still further.
