ALBAWABA - Hamas has made a compelling case for the international community to intervene quickly to put a stop to what it claims is ethnic cleansing, genocide, and forced migration in Gaza.

The organization emphasized the terrible effects of the Israeli onslaught that started on October 7, 2023, in a statement issued today in honor of International Human Solidarity Day.

The statement claims that more over 11,000 Palestinians are still unaccounted for and that over 152,000 Palestinians, including women and children, have been murdered or maimed. According to official estimates, some 10,000 people are still buried in the debris in Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.

The current condition of affairs was denounced by Hamas as one of the worst humanitarian catastrophes in recent memory. It urged the international community to hold Israeli officials responsible for suspected crimes against humanity and war crimes.

In order to halt what Hamas called a campaign of destruction against Palestinians, the statement further emphasized the need of international engagement. The suffering of Gaza's civilian population continues to get worldwide attention, with Al Jazeera highlighting the urgent need for international solidarity and humanitarian assistance.

According to an opinion survey by a well-known Hebrew-language publication, public opinion in Israel has also changed. According to the poll, most Israelis now support a full prisoner swap with Hamas, even if it means stopping military actions in Gaza.

Israeli prisoner families' outspoken demands, which have chastised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration for postponing talks, are adding to the mounting pressure. Al Jazeera emphasizes that in order to reach a resolution to the current situation, opposition leaders and the relatives of prisoners are calling for swift action.
