ALBAWABA - Dr. Abu Sitta was not allowed to enter Germany to attend a seminar for Palestinians, according to reports from Al Jazeera.

During the 43-day harsh Israeli invasion, Dr. Abu Sitta served at the Shifa Hospital and Al-Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip. It was there that she saw directly the horrific Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, including the direct targeting of health centers.

From his departure from the coastal enclave in late November, Abu Sittah has been actively promoting awareness of the catastrophic effects of Israel's war on Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of over 33,000 Palestinians.

In the early weeks of Israel's invasion, Abu Sittah functioned as a covert English-speaking spokesperson for Palestinian medical professionals tending to Israeli casualties. He has charged that the Israeli military intentionally targets children in crowded locations like Gaza by employing illegal white phosphorous.

During a previous interview with Arabi21, Dr. Abu Sitta stated that he planned to visit the Gaza Strip again in the summer.

He emphasized that, in the wake of his recent victory in the University of Glasgow presidency elections, he is facing a vicious campaign and smear campaign run by Zionist media outlets and groups, claiming they publish pieces every week to target him.

On March 26, the University of Glasgow held elections for president, and Dr. Abu Sitta emerged victorious with more than 80% of the student vote.

After working in Gaza during the Israeli offensive, German authorities deny entry to a Palestinian doctor.

Germany's ties with Israel, particularly its supply of weapons and advocacy in international fora, have been highlighted. Nicaragua has accused Germany of "facilitating" the Israeli genocide in Gaza and filed a complaint at the International Court of Justice. South Africa is also suing Israel for genocide.
