The foreign ministers of Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) concluded their 91st session of the ministerial council in Jeddah Saturday.
In a final statement, the ministers condemned the recent terrorist acts that took place in Saudi Arabia. The ministerial council affirmed that "Islam has nothing to do with these terrorist acts, also denouncing all forms of extremism, violence and terrorism."
As regards Iraq, the ministerial council congratulated Iraq's President Sheikh Ghazi Ajeel Yawer and Premier Iyad Allawi of the interim government on assuming their posts, considering this event as an "important step on the way of handing over sovereignty to the Iraqi people." (Albawaba.com)
