French Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie will travel to Saudi Arabia during the weekend for talks with King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, her aides said Monday.
Alliot-Marie, who is scheduled to arrive in the capital of Riyadh late Friday, will meet on Saturday with the Saudi crown prince and Defense Minister Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz before meeting with King Fahd, AFP said.
The French minister is also expected to visit Prince Sultan Air Base in al-Kharj, some 80 kilometers south of Riyadh, where multinational troops participating in the US-led campaign in Afghanistan are stationed. (Albawaba.com)
