Four Palestinians Injured by Israeli Troops in Latest Clash

Four Palestinians, including two policemen, were injured Sunday when Israeli troops opened fire in Hebron in the West Bank, according to a Palestinian police source. 

The two police officers, whose injuries were not life threatening, had been patrolling the town center when their vehicle was fired on by Israeli troops, the source said. 

Two other Palestinians were also slightly hurt by Israeli troops in a separate incident, the police source added. 

Israel withdrew from 80 percent of Hebron in 1996, but still controls an enclave where hundreds of Jewish settlers in a live in an area sacred to both Jews and Muslims – HEBRON (AFP)
