Four Palestinians were shot dead in less than 24 hours in various incidents in the West Bank as Israeli troops arrested a Hamas member during his wedding party.

In Ramallah, Israeli soldiers on Thursday evening arrested a Hamas activist during his wedding.

Troops from an elite unit arrived at the wedding hall in the city and used loudspeakers to call for the man to come out and turn himself in. The Hamas operative came out immediately.

Israeli sources said the Hamas man had taken part in a "terror" attack against Israelis.

Elsewhere, a 21 year old Palestinian, identified as Shaher Awni Ahmed Taqateqa was shot dead south of Bethlehem. In Nablus, a 13 year-old boy named as Hani Khamis Mahmoud Qandil was shot dead.

Israeli police on Wednesday night shot and killed a Palestinian man and injured another, Israel Radio reported Thursday morning. The report said police chased three men who were caught trying to rob an optical equipment store in the city.

Police had received an alert and a patrol noticed a fleeing car. After a chase the car was stopped at Beit Safafa, and two were arrested by police.

Elsewhere, a Fatah activist was killed by Israeli fire in the West Bank town of Jenin on Wednesday night, Palestinian sources reported.

Na'amun Zreeni, 29, was killed during a firefight with troops conducting an arrest operation in the city. Five Palestinians were taken into custody, according to the sources.

In another incident, at least 15 protesters were injured in clashes Thursday with Israeli troops during a demonstration against the Israeli construction of the seperation wall held by Palestinians in the West Bank.

Palestinian sources said Israeli troops at the demonstration, near the village of al-Zawiya, were firing rubber bullets and dispersing tear gas at the protesters.
