Three Palestinians killed in an Israeli raid in the West Bank city of Nablus Thursday morning. The three, identified as Bashar Henani, Anas al-Sheikh and Ahmed al-Jayyosi, were killed after occupation soldiers opened fire on them. According to Palestinian sources, Henani was the local military commander of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
Israeli forces surrounded a house in central Nablus where several "wanted" activists were believed to be hiding. Even after the killings, the Israeli army kept surrounding the house as more activists were believed to be hiding there.
Overnight Thursday the Israeli army nabbed 14 Palestinians in raids in the West Bank.
Elsewhere, a Qassam rocket landed south of the Israeli city of Ashkelon on Thursday morning, Israel Radio reported. The rocket hit an open area near an industrial zone. No casualties or damage were reported. Later, a mortar round wounded five Israeli troops after hitting an army base south of Ashkelon. In response, Israel bombed Gaza Strip. One Palestinian was reported dead in the Northern part of the Strip. The victim was identified as Ibrahim Ahmed a-Nana, 21. Palestinian sources said more than 25 Israeli rockets landad in the area, wounding another Palestinian aged 19.
