ALBAWABA - According to Lebanese media, a fire started at Lebanese Army and UNIFIL positions along the Blue Line in southern Lebanon. This corresponds with Hezbollah's declaration of rocket and missile assaults against Israeli positions.

along Menara, on the northern outskirts of Meiss El Jabal, along the Blue Line, the fire began. National News Agency: Lebanese civil defense forces and UNIFIL apparatus are extinguishing the fire.

The agency noted "intense artillery shelling of the town of Houla, particularly the Marj neighborhood and Wadi al-Dalafa, from enemy positions within occupied Palestine." Also, it said "enemy soldiers stationed in the Al-Abbadi and Menara positions are sweeping the neighborhoods and homes of Houla with machine gun fire."

Fears of rocket fire and a drone intrusion from southern Lebanon prompted sirens in Safed and Bar'iyya, according to Al Jazeera's reporter.

The Israeli army confirmed that Hezbollah fired a drone near Marj Ibn Amer, 40 kilometers distant, and that air defenses missed it.

This followed Hezbollah's allegation that its forces fired artillery and missiles upon Israeli troops in Rahib and Triangulation-Tayhata early Saturday.

Hezbollah said a drone attacked an Israeli artillery position near Seneem, occupied Shebaa Farms.

Hezbollah shelled troops in Harash Natua and a military vehicle near Risha yesterday. They shelled Israeli artillery batteries in Khirbet Ma'ar and surrounding army deployments.

A missile interception caused a fire north of Nazareth, according to "Walla" in Israel.

The Israeli army reported one soldier dead and eight injured in a Hezbollah drone strike on a military location near Hurfeish in the Upper Galilee yesterday.

Israeli artillery shelled southern Lebanon border towns in retaliation. Israeli forces bombed Hezbollah facilities in Rweisat Abu Leiben and a launch site in southern Lebanon's Al-Khureibeh. To eliminate threats in Alma Shaab and Naqoura, artillery was fired.
