FINE, market leaders in the Middle East’s hygienic paper industry organised its annual blood donation drive last week at its Jebel Ali facility in support of the Blood Donation Centre at Al Wasl Hospital.

Over 50 FINE employees, led by Peter Janho, Chief Area Officer, senior managers and associates donated blood on the day. The drive was part of FINE’s commitment to improving the lives and health of the broader community and was in keeping with its principles of Corporate Social Responsibility.

“As responsible corporate citizens, we at FINE recognise the importance of contributing to the society in every way possible. It is vital to have ample stock of blood in the country’s blood banks, to ensure that those in urgent need of blood do not suffer due to insufficient supplies. This blood donation drive is part of an ongoing effort by our associates who willingly come forward to support worthy causes,” said Peter Janho.

“We are glad to continue our annual support to the Al Wasl Blood Donation Centre towards making the drive a success and we acknowledge the commendable work that the center is doing in saving precious lives,” he added.

FINE staff members from all departments were invited to participate in the annual blood donation drive. Volunteers were professionally attended to by personnel from the Blood Donation Centre’s mobile blood collection unit, which set up the required medical gear at the company’s offices in Jebel Ali.
