Representatives of various Palestinian factions started arriving in the Egyptian capital of Cairo for the expected round of inter-Palestinian dialogue, informed Palestinian sources said.
The sources said that the Fatah Movement’s delegation arrived on Friday evening while delegates of other factions started flocking into Cairo Saturday evening.
No names were available on formation of various delegates, except Fatah, the sources said, noting that Cairo had officially asked Tel Aviv to allow the travel of PFLP official Jamil Majdalawi and DFLP leader Saleh Zeidan from the Gaza Strip into Egypt to attend the talks, PIC reported.
Meanwhile, a source in the DFLP said that the PA’s statements on the Cairo dialogue were "not encouraging" and did not give room for hope over forging a unified political program, national leadership and comprehensive democratic reforms.
The DFLP source said that the internal power struggle in Fatah, backbone of the PA and the PLO, necessitated forging national unity on a joint program.
