Etihad Airways, the UAE’s National Airline has won another award, this time the world’s fastest growing airline was praised for its catering by readers of PAX International magazine at the third Annual Middle East Catering Conference in Bahrain.
PAX International, a trade publication covering the international travel catering industry, handed Etihad the “Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier” award, crediting the Abu Dhabi based airline’s world class standards of style and hospitality.
“Etihad Airways consistently strives for the highest levels of hospitality for our guests, and this award recognizes the innovation and quality that we are putting into all areas of the airline, especially catering,” said Ian Ferguson-Brown, Head of Communications, Etihad Airways.
The Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier Award was presented to Nasser Bader, Etihad sales manager in Bahrain, during a special Awards Ceremony held during the Conference’s Gala Evening Dinner.
“It’s a great honour to be recognized and acknowledged by leading travel industry players including travel agents and the media. Etihad Airways puts a premium on in-flight catering and this is a fantastic result for all our hard work, and the effort provided on a daily basis,” said Michael Malchartzeck, Catering and Cabin Services Manager, Etihad Airways.
This is the first year PAX International polled its readers for the awards, including more than 2,000 recipients of its bi-weekly e-mail newsletter.
