Energy Management Services (EMS), the leading energy management and energy conservation company in the Middle East, has launched a month-long program of conducting free preliminay energy audits for major office buildings and towers in the UAE, to demonstrate potnetial savings in energy consumption, in terms of operational and capital costs. The program will significantly increase awareness among various users on the need to conserve energy by judicious use of resources and adoption of energy saving equipments and controls.
EMS will conduct the free preliminary energy audits upon receiving specific requests from developers of establishments in the UAE. The audits can be conducted on existing projects as well as those in the design phase. This initiative will encourage major energy users to adopt energy management solutions which realise potential savings of up to 35% in their enegrgy consumption as well as reduce impact on the environment.
The preliminary energy audits will cover a host of key areas such as analysis of the facility’s operational characteristics, evaluation of energy uses by equipment/sector and identification of appropriate energy saving measures.
“Energy costs have been mounting over the past few years, and further expected hikes in power rates means that energy bills would put increasing pressure on the operating costs of any project or company,” said Khaled Bushnaq, Managing Director, Energy Management Services. “Companies adopting energy management solutions today can expect substantial long-term savings which will ultimately add to profitablity.”
“While EMS has been helping many hotels, shopping malls, restaurants and offices to reduce their expenses on energy, we have decided to launch a new initiative that will take the message directly to our potential customers,” said Bushnaq. “This is a methodical program designed to illustrate measurable differences before and after adopting energy saving solutions. It is only when we demonstrate the potential savings in all areas of operations that managements realise how huge sums of money can be saved every month just by implemeting energy conservation solutions.”
Apart from monetary savings, EMS will demonstrate that energy conservation plays a vital role in protecting the environment as it will slow down the depletion of various non renewable energy resources, thus ensuring their availability for future generations.
“A conscious effort by the industrial and commercial establishments in the UAE to reduce energy consumption and to use energy management solutions will also benefit the government as it will minimise its investment in new power plants,” added Bushnaq.
EMS  provides consultancy in energy consumption at the design stage for new projects to optimise and reduce construction costs. The range of services EMS provides include, introducing energy control and management options, equipment specification recommendation and financial cost analysis, determining and analysing expected energy bills as well as monitoring and verification of energy saving equipments.

The Company is driven by the belief that sustained energy management solutions are part of the controllable budgetary expenditure for any organisation. This fact is supported by the actual results EMS achieved by implementing energy management projects in residential and commercial buildings which achieved annual cost savings of up to 35 percent in addition to substantial capital savings in the building construction costs.

EMS specialises in building customised energy management solutions for existing facilities as well as energy optimisation solutions for projects at the design stage. In both categories, EMS clients cover a wide spectrum of user groups, including residential complexes, industries, community centres, commercial complexes, shopping centres and hotels & resorts.
