Cairo has been chosen to host a conference entitled Media for Children, to be held in June 2002.
This will be the first time the conference is held outside of Europe.
According to the Cairo-based Al Gomhuria daily, the decision was taken “in appreciation of the efforts by [Egypt’s first lady] Suzanne Mubarak in the field of childcare.”
Organized by the EU Media for Children Center, the conference will focus on early education, the technology gap, and joint media production between the north and the south, said the paper – Albawaba.com
