Strategic Marketing and Exhibitions, organizers of The International Property Show 2007 (IPS 2007), announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the Dubai Land Department to jointly promote IPS 2007, which will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from April 3rd – 5th, 2007. The agreement was signed between Dawood Shezawi, Managing Director of Strategic Marketing Exhibitions and Buti Bin Mujrin, General Manager of Dubai Land Department.

The agreement provides a strong platform for Dubai Land Department to showcase its efforts to provide the ideal environment for real estate investment in Dubai to potential investors and developers at IPS 2007. The agreement focuses on establishing frameworks and strengthening mutual relations between the entities to jointly brand the Dubai property market and encourage real estate players to invest in the emirate. Further, the agreement also supports efforts aimed at the development of the real estate sector, in addition to promoting the exchange of institutional knowledge at all levels. Dubai Land Department will have a strong presence at IPS 2007 where it will highlight the broad range of services it offers to developers and investors alike.

“We are extremely pleased that Dubai Land Department has joined us to further bolster the real estate sector in Dubai. The department’s support to IPS 2007 underlines the importance of the event to the regional property sector as we aim to maximise investments from regional and international investors,” said Dawood Shezawi. “The opening up of the property sector in the emirate has triggered a huge demand for residential and commercial property in Dubai, especially from the enormous expatriate population. IPS 2007 provides the ideal setting for potential investors to explore the best investment opportunities and maximise their returns.”

The Dubai Land Department was formed in 1960 to oversee affairs related to land and private properties in Dubai. All matters of legalization, sale, and purchase of lands are entrusted to the department and it serves to regulate the registration process and protect property from misappropriation. Facilitating transactions between landowners and buyers, the number of lands registered at the Dubai Land Department till date exceeds 50,000 plots all over Dubai. With the majority of clients comprising UAE and GCC nationals, the department has recently computerized its systems, enabling all procedures related to sale, purchase, and mortgages to be conducted electronically.

“With the signing of this partnership, Dubai Land Department has once again demonstrated its commitment to its vision to provide the ideal environment for real estate investment and consultancy in Dubai. The International Property Show is the premier property exhibition in the region which continues to attract leading regional and international developers and investors year after year. We are glad to be a part of the next edition of IPS as we look to reach out to our target audience and support the development of the property & real estate market in the region,” said Buti Bin Mujrin.

The International Property Show is the Middle East’s comprehensive annual public and trade exhibition for the international and regional property market.
