Cooperation between the Arab League and the Dubai International Holy Quran Award were discussed recently during the visit of Talaat Hamed, Adviser to the League's Secretary General to the award's premises, according to Khaleej Times.
Hamed expressed the Arab League Secretary-General greetings to the founder of the award, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defense.
In addition, he praised the idea behind the institution of the award, with its goal of promoting Islam as well as recognizing the efforts of the Muslim scholars who have rendered their services to Islam throughout the world.
Hamed was received by Ibrahim Bu Melha, Dubai Attorney General and Chairman of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award as well as members of the higher organizing committee. (Albawaba.com)
