Exihibiting interest in its members and their operations in the emirate, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has called on Emirates Building Systems (EBS) to keep abreast of the company’s latest achievements, which are seen by the chamber as an asset in the whole development process in Dubai.

According to a press release by EBS, Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee, DCCI’s director general, and Hani Al Hamli, head of commercial promotion, have recenlty visited EBS, and “both expressed great interest in the development of the company.”

EBS is famed for its remarkable speed of construction, the latest of which is ‘The Tower’ building on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, close to the Emirates Towers. Mutaiwee also highlighted EBS’ contribution to the exports of the UAE, which will help establish Dubai as a global partner on the world map.

"The Tower" project not only is striking in its bold architectural statement, it is highly interesting in its structural concept.

According to the EBS website (www.ebsl.com), the engineering approach has succeeded in managing two aspects of steel construction for optimum speed and economy: these are the fire protection and the treatment of floor slabs.

Among the interesting details of this unusual building are the pyramidal crown which tops the structure, and the belt trusses at floors 31 and 32 which transfer the efforts within the steel frames to the concrete spine of the construction - Albawaba.com
