Dubai’s Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS) has partnered with Concept Media, a full service marketing and media company, to produce and distribute its first fully comprehensive directory of healthcare services in the emirates.
Recently launched the Dubai Health Directory is a comprehensive reference tool listing all of Dubai’s 5,000 medical service providers registered with DOHMS, including 1,200 clinics and hospitals in the public and private sectors, and is available at leading book stores or direct from Concept Media.
“Our main goal is to promote a healthy environment, ensuring the well-being of our community by supplying all the necessary medical information in one easy-to-use format,” said Mr. Mohsin Saad Obaid Basala’ah, Director, Specifications & Licensing Department.
Supplying a classified and alphabetical database - listing practitioners, doctors, polyclinics, specialist clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, laboratories, medical equipment suppliers and medical service providers – the directory will be the first of its kind in the UAE.
The hardbound directory includes a map that highlights the location of select hospitals, clinics and other medical institutions. Complimentary copies will be distributed amongst the members of DOHMS as well as hospitals, clinics, medical suppliers, insurance companies and pharmacies across the UAE - with 10,000 copies being distributed through various channels.
“The information that the directory provides has never been as this accessible. It will now save a considerable amount of time and effort as it will no longer be necessary to make multiple inquiries to find the required medical information. This initiative fills a void and will become a valuable resource for businesses and residents of Dubai,” said Aldrin Fernandes, CEO, of Dubai-based Concept Group, which is the mother company of Concept Media.
The directory will also be available as a CD-ROM that will further improve the service. When the Dubai Health Directory website (www.dohmsdirectory.com) comes online in the coming weeks, its connection to the DOHMS website will provide access to up-to-date medical information across the region.
