The seminars will commence after the Holy Month of Ramadan, with six sessions on November 6th, 13th, 14th, 20th and 27th, and Dec 3rd and 10th.
The one-day seminars include An Introduction to Corporate Responsibility; Organizational Ethics; Business Ethics Infrastructure; The Corporate Social Responsibility Agenda; Non-financial (social)Reporting; and A Primer of Corporate Governance.
Two additional seminars covering Government Ethics and Public Governance, and Ethical Leadership are offered in Arabic on November 15th and 16th
All seminars will be conducted at the Dubai Chamber for Commerce and Industry (DCCI) building from 8.30am to 2pm.
Mr. Abdul Rahman G. Al Mutaiwee, DCCI Director General and DERC Trustee, commented, "The seminars are designed to meet a growing interest by managers, in private and public sector organizations, in issues of corporate responsibility and how to integrate CR initiatives into business strategies. They are tailored around the needs of busy executives, allowing a choice of a single bite sized seminar or a commitment to take part in the entire series for a broader understanding of the elements of the corporate responsibility agenda”.
Mr. Alex Zalami, Executive Director of DERC, added, "We hope to attract managers of both private and public sector organizations in the UAE and wider Gulf region. The seminars offer a concise overview of each topic, thus allowing mangers to assess where gaps may exist within their organizations and what tools may be used to remedy them."
In addition to the Corporate Responsibility seminar series, DERC offers customized seminars and training sessions in both Arabic and English. For more information please contact DERC offices (+971 4 202 8454 ) or visit www.dubai-ethics.ae.
