'Morocco Swings' - the new documentary by Barbara den Uyl has been recently released in the Nederland. The film follows four Duth – Moroccan girls who want to become famous singers.
On May 10, it was screened in the city of Nijmegen. It was followed by a debate about the dilemmas of Moroccan-Dutch women. The debate was attended by Barbara den Uyl herself.
Barbara den Uyl, 56, was born in Amsterdam, attended high school and studied Dutch. At the same time, she attended directing and acting lessons at drama school. Later, she attended Amsterdam City Newsreel, a film collective.
