On Sunday, Damascus Radio said Israel represents an “abnormal political and military situation according to all norms agreed upon by the international community”, especially in wake of the inability of the United Nations Security Council to curb the Israeli aggressiveness and to issue “even one condemnation with regard to the Israeli brutal massacres and practices.”

The state-run radio stressed that the Israeli situation is growing with the “presence of extremist current(s), which dictate (Israeli Prime Minister Ariel) Sharon’s government policy”, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency SANA.

It also emphasized that international incapability is encouraging Israeli Premier Sharon to “commit more massacres on the way … exterminating the Palestinian people”. Moreover, it criticized the United States’ support for the Israeli policy of “delusion, which is the most dangerous with regard to the security and integrity of the world”. (Albawaba.com)
