A court in the capital of Paris is due to hand down its verdict on Wednesday following a month-long trial of two Algerians accused of planting bombs in a chain of attacks in 1995, which killed an amount of eight people and injured 200 others.
Boualem Bensaid and Smain Ait Ali Belkacem, both 34 years old, are already serving ten-year prison terms in connection with the attacks, having been convicted in the year 1999 of membership of the Algerian Armed Islamic Group (GIA) - a group deemed "terrorist" by France and the United States, according to AFP.
The men, who face possible life terms behind bars, are accused of planting three bombs in the French capital city of Paris between July and October 1995. (Albawaba.com)
