On Wednesday, CNN is to air an exclusive interview with Syrian President Bashar Al Assad in which he speaks to CNN’s chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour in the Syrian capital of Damascus. Ms. Amanpour will be talking to the President about the state of his nation which is currently facing accusations from the US authorities over its legacy in Lebanon and borders with war-torn Iraq.
