ALBAWABA - With reports of several fatalities and extensive damage, Israeli troops intensified their attacks in northern Gaza, focusing on Kamal Adwan Hospital and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Al Jazeera released startling video of a Palestinian citizen getting hit by Israeli fire close to the hospital's entrance and then engulfed in flames.
The terrifying footage showed Palestinian citizens fighting to save the man as Israeli military vehicles and drones continued to shoot. The destruction was exacerbated when Israeli soldiers simultaneously set fire to hundreds of houses around the hospital.
Israeli commandos placed boxes filled with explosives at the hospital gates using robotic equipment, according to Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the hospital's director. He issued a warning in a statement about a "daily threat of bombing aimed at killing and forcibly displacing civilians." Similar explosives were used in the past to destroy residential neighborhoods close to the hospital.
In a different incident, Israeli attacks in the vicinity triggered a fire in the pharmaceutical storage facility of the Al Awda Hospital in northern Gaza. Hospital employees' capacity to care for the inflow of wounded is being hampered by acute shortages of energy and medical supplies.
According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, Israeli troops have carried out five massacres in the last 24 hours, resulting in 58 fatalities and 86 wounded. Since October 7, 2023, there have been 45,317 deaths and 107,713 injuries. In order to handle the growing humanitarian catastrophe, the ministry underlined the urgent necessity for international action.
Three Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on Al-Shuja’iyya, east of Gaza City, according to Al Jazeera journalists. The Israeli military urged locals to relocate westward and issued evacuation orders.
