At least four people were killed and six injured on Thursday in a bombing attack near the offices of a Kurdish party in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, witnesses said.
According to Reuters, eyewitnesses conveyed two persons died near the site of the blast outside the offices of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and another across the square. Ambulance drivers said they took six wounded people to a local hospital.
Elsewhere, an Assyrian politician working with the occupation authorities in the southern Iraqi city of Basra was abducted and killed by unknown elements while on his way to work, his political party said Thursday.
Sargoun Nanou Murado, a representative of the Assyrian Democratic Movement party and member of Basra's city council, was ambushed on Tuesday, a party statement, cited by AFP, said.
"The body of our party member was discovered in a city suburb," it said. (Albawaba.com)
