Twenty-four Israeli soldiers were injured, three of them seriously, when a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) exploded Thursday in a military base in the occupied Golan Heights during a training class for infantry troops.
Five soldiers sustained moderate wounds and 16 were lightly hurt, Haaretz reported.
A class sergeant taught soldiers on using a shoulder-fired rocket launcher, used live ammunition and accidentally fired at rocket from the launcher. The rocket hit one of the classroom walls and blew up, injuring most of the soldiers in the room. Some of the soldiers lost limbs in the explosion, Israeli media reports said. (Albawaba.com)
