Bahrain’s police appealed on Friday for help in identifying a middle-aged man found dead on the Manama beach, reported the Gulf Daily News.
Sources said the man appeared to be an Asian in his mid-fifties.
“Anyone who may know the man should contact their nearest police station,” said an interior ministry statement.
“It is thought that he may have drowned during the night and his body washed up on the beach yesterday,” a source said.
Meanwhile, a man found strangled and burned beyond recognition has been identified as Bangladeshi Amin Al Islam, said sources.
Mr Al Islam, a watchman in a Hoora building, was reportedly involved in a row with another Bangladeshi.
“He was strangled in a home in Gudaibiya neighborhood, then his body was wrapped in plastic sheeting and taken out to near the Al Areen roundabout in Sakhir,” said sources.
His body was set ablaze on the roadside and the remains were found early on Monday morning, said the paper.
Two men, a Bangladeshi and an Indian, are in police custody in connection with the killing, said sources – Albawaba.com
