In association with Bait Al Khair Charity Organization, Proctor & Gamble (P&G) will launch a three-day fun filled program of activities entitled the “Let’s Succeed” Camp targeting orphans aged 9-13 in the Dubai and Sharjah.

P&G employees in cooperation with Bait Al Khair Charity Organization in Dubai devoted their time and effort to ensure that all final preparations are in place before the launch of the camp scheduled for January 22, 2006 at the Radisson SAS Hotel Sharjah. It is expected that more than 35 orphaned children will participate and more than 25 P&G employees for three consecutive days.

The "Let's Succeed" Camp represents one activity that is part of the P&G social program, “Bunyan” which inspires children to build a better future. The Success Camp aims to provide them with an understanding of what it takes to succeed in life. Particularly, they will learn about the importance of knowledge, collaboration and discipline in achieving their life goals. Everyday, the Camp will focus on each of these training pillars in a fun and excitement environment.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Turki Bin Moammar, Public Affairs and Community Relations Manager of P&G in the Arabian Peninsula, "We continuously strive to make a positive contribution to the lives of the residents of the United Arab Emirates and the region as a whole and children in particular through various community programs. This is the essential drive that encouraged us to organize the Success Camp that allows us to integrate children in need in the UAE in fun educational activities with our employees. We are extremely excited about opening the doors of the Success Camp that will enlighten children to a bright and prosperous future."

The Success Camp was organized in efforts to allow employees of P&G to participate in volunteer communal activities. Other participating organizations include the Dubai Civil Defence and Saudi Arabian Airlines to bolster activities of the program in addition to journalists that will be involved in judging some of the activities and games that are scheduled to ensure an unforgettable time for the children and participant alike.

This initiative stems from the success of the program that was held in Jeddah & Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia during the summer with the aim of continuously enhancing and expanding volunteer, communal activities that P&G implements with objective of further benefiting the community as whole. The Let’s Succeed Camp is just the latest activity that is part of the P&G social program, “Bunyan”, which encompasses many other projects focusing on promoting health education and education around the region.

The company’s social program contributions last year exceeded SR11 million through a variety of activities across the Gulf countries.
