Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa is expected to head for New York on Monday to take part in the fifth coordination meeting between the United Nations and regional organizations, due to take place between July 29-30.
Moussa’s official spokesman Hesham Yousef told reporters that the joint meeting would discuss international developments and cooperation between both sides.
In addition, he stated that the meeting would also deal with various significant issues pertaining to “terrorism”.
Yousef, according to KUNA, said that Moussa would also meet with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and a number of heads of regional organizations.
Furthermore, he said that the situation in Iraq, Palestine, Sudan and Somalia would also be reviewed. (Albawaba.com)
